Inderal (propranolol) is hard to take for some people. It can cause exercise intolerance, depression and memory problems, and bronchoconstriction if you have allergies and may cause asthma.

Some doctors will give a newer form of beta blocker, with less side effects, like atenolol.

You'll just have to try and see what happens to you. Some people do well, and the side effects don't bother them as much as the tremor does. Others just cannot manage.
