my mm age 71 passed away 1 week ago from a brain anurism!she had been home alone for the whole day and was very healthy!she was found by my brother when he came home from work at 7 pm.by the looks of what had transpired in the house she must have been there for about 8 or 9 hours!my brother asked her if she wanted an ambulence because she appeared very weak and sick! she mumbled yes!they ambulence took her to the reading hospital and she hadent got any worse for about 2 hours until the doctor gave her a drug to parrelize her within 15 to 20 minutes she had lost almost all brain function!they then flew her to philli and we had been told the worst news that she was not going to with us anymore because of the damage all the blood and swelling had caused!im not a doctor but the fact that she had not been critical and still could deterime left from right for almost half a day and then been administerd a medicine to parellize her caused her to go to have no more brain activity in 20 minutes sounds fishy and i would like someones help on tis!thank you!

and you should take them to a good malpractice attorney.

Most will evaluate a case for free.

I can't imagine why a neuromuscular blocking agent would be given like that. They are used in surgeries sometimes.

You need more detailed information and a medical evaluation of her chart with fresh eyes.

You know when people have a stroke, sometimes a drug is given called tPA. When given under the wrong circumstances it causes increased bleeding. It is supposed to be used only for blood clots, not bleeding strokes. This is a possibility, but of course without the records you or I don't really know anything.

Our child had a brain aneurysm that required surgery.

I originally took her to her doctor, who completely missed the symptoms (which was very dangerous...to put it mildly).


In the middle of the night...when things worsened...I took her to the ER.

There, the brain aneurysm was found and it was treated like the very serious emergency that it was.

We had to take an ambulance to another hospital, because the surgeons there were not experienced enough to deal with the surgery they knew she likely needed. She was in ICU and before long, she had the life saving surgery she required. It was an ordeal (putting this mildly as well).

If this is troubling you (and it sounds like it is), I would ask for an attorney to sort out the facts for you to see if your mother's case was handled appropriately.
