I hope you find out they are valuable. My thing with antiques and collectibles is that even if something is worth a lot, unless you find the 'buyer' who wants to spend the money, it is often disappointing. I speak from experience.
I have a booth at the local antique mart. I find few people want to spend much; many are just hunting bargains or are other dealers looking to score something cheap so they can resell. Every now and then I have good luck though. If I were you I'd take your items to a professional auction or post on E-bay. The only draw back to E-bay is mailing....You can always stipulate you want buyer to pick up (local buyer) or make sure you insure the item for it's true value. Good luck. Tootsie
