I haven't checked in for a bit. Sorry.:o

First of all, I just have to say how amazing you all are and what an inspiration this thread has been for me. What some of you are doing despite everything is remarkable. I know maybe some of you don't have the same issues as I do but the fact that you are keeping at it is commendable. Great job, everyone!

Since this thread started I have continued making housework an exercise routine and added morning yoga to my routine. I continue doing the yoga on a daily basis. Some days it is more difficult that others and I get frustrated at the lack of coordination in my left leg. (It really has a mind of it's own. :D).

The weather is cooling down in the a.m. (finally!) and I have added a 5 minute walk in the am before I do the yoga. Last evening, it was nice out with a cooler breeze and I took a short walk.

Ewiz, Good luck on your job search. DId you get to play abasketball today?

Twinkletoes: Whew, glad you rescued the cats.

Tkrik: you are also an inspiration :)

I swam a mile this morning between rounds of thunderstorms :)

I'm a bit gimpy today but I am trying to be active (though i have 4 discs of Greys season 5 to get through).

I had a huge fallen gumtree branch balancing over my electric fence today. Little by little, I took the smaller branches away and helped (in spirit) by my fat little pony, I did a wonder-woman thing of lifting it back over the fence. He wanted so much to help.

My boys are so funny. They hoon around silently screaming 'a tree! a tree! help us! there's a lion in the tree!'. Then I'm the hero when I take away the danger. I love my boys. :In-Lurve:

Hey all...I finally got around to a serious workout today...I've been in a funk lately and even though I know exercise lifts my spirits, I was so grumpy that I didn't partake...anyway, I rode a stationary bike for 33 min and worked on weight machines for 30 minutes. I'm going to take the old dog for a walk, since it's supposed to rain the next several days.Keep on movin', everybody!!:D

I havent exercised for a couple of days. Just feel really really tired and sore. Plus my left leg is now numb and feels weird, so treadmilling on a numb leg just doesnt feel right. It was bad enough with a numb left arm, but now the leg and foot are numb too. (along with the left side of my face, and the rest of the left side of my body)

Pud, you could write a book. You are a very excellent writer. I soooo enjoy reading about your exploits :)

Good for you Debbie. You are so right. Exercise does help with depression and funkiness, but when we are in a funk, its hard to want to exercise. A conundrum

Erin , it sounds like you are in a flare. Rest up a lot, don't exercise yet. Lower your saturated fat intake. I hope you get better soon.

I swam a mile this morning.

No exercise yesterday, but today I shopped for groceries and had my 20 minute B ball workout. :) I figured I better get it in because it's supposed to be rainy the next two days.

SallyC 09-24-2009 10:11 PM

It's really been rainy, humid, warm and all around yucky MS weather, so I haven't been moving as quickly as I'd like....but, I still do my stretches, before rising <a little self pat on the back ;)>.

You all are doing so well..:)

Are you supposed to not exercise while in a flare???

BBS1951 09-25-2009 02:34 PM

Dr. Swank recommends lots of bed rest during a big flare. I exercise for my mini-flares (sensory symptoms), but if I was ina big one, I'd lay off for several days. Your body needs all the energy it can muster to deal with the flare.

Sally, That is excellent that you did your stretches :)

Ewiz: I think we can definitely call basketball exercise!! Good job.

I swam a mile at dawn today :)
