Hope you get well soon. Remember to wash your hands frequently, especially after touching grocery carts, which are some of the filthiest and disease plagued contraptions we have to deal with.

Hope you feel better soon. Has your husband exhibited any symptoms?

Sorry you caught that lousy bug and was feeling so rotten. Glad it's getting behind you
I've read where it's recommended for people with ms to get the shot and since I'm on Tysabri I will definately ask my family doc tomorrow about getting it.
Take care and get/stay well!

My DH has not displayed any signs or sx. My housekeeper is preggers so I told her to stay away for 2 weeks. I canceled her last week and now I am thinking that was a good thing.

The MD told me the same thing. Dont worry about which flu it is, but worry about the effects on the lungs. He said I am really on the upside of this, so I am out of the woods.

I do not know anyone else who has this, nor do I notice any of my friends, or contacts coughing or saying they dont feel well. The only outside contact I had during the "exposure period" was the local grocery store. I make a habit of not touching my face, but on the day in question, I had an eye booger that I rubbed out of my eye on the ride home. Its a new truck, so I didnt put wipes in it yet. The wipe container at the door was empty. I must have gotten it in the store.

I have skipped several very public events that we were scheduled to attend, like the shooting competition, and a harvest fair, and the pickle festival. I was supposed to help the senior old woman decorate their float for the pickle parade. I am glad I stayed home now. Think of how many folks I could have exposed had I not been good about saying I didnt feel well, and would be skipping the whole event.

The MD said because I am immune compromised with the DMDs I was more likely to pick it up then someone who isnt on this stuff. It really wasnt the terrible bed ridden, holding onto deaths doorknob kinda stuff you see reported on TV. I wasnt happy for a few days, but I would have never guessed it to be the swine flu. It just felt like a really bad cold. I did notice my lungs were heavy, and the coughing was intense, but I managed to stay ahead of it with loads of down time, and quiet activites at home.

I am on the mend! thanks for the well wishes. :grouphug:

Oh my! So glad you were smart enough to stay away from people and events so as not to spread it around.

Glad you are on the mend, Deji. Be well, my friend.

Glad you are feeling better and keep going on the road to full recovery!

So sorry to hear you were feeling so lousy for awhile, but glad to know you're on the up-swing!! It sure sounds important to wash, wash, wash your hands! Guess there are some benefits of being home-bound after all. Get well soon Dej! :)

Quick question - do you always get a fever with swine flu?
