Default Tysabri #38-THREE YEARS

I just got #38 and it's my THIRD YEAR ANNIVERSARY
What a blessing this med has been for me !!

Also, want to mention that on another site there was a post saying she and hubby (he has ms) went to a Biogen meeting and Dr. said NOT to get H1N1 shot if on Tysabri for fear of Guillian Barre (sp). I will call Active Source tomorrow-I'm wondering what's different then reg flu shot, which I have gotten yearly for many, many years.

Anyhoo, YEA TYSABRI
Linda
p.s. hope this posts under Tysabri threads-couldn't actually figure out how to get it there

I am so very pleasedthat the Tysabri infusions are going well for you.

I personally am not on this medication, but many friends here and in Australia are. It's extremely good news to hear how well you're doing.

WooHoo!!! It's encouraging to hear how well Ty is working for so many! Let us know what you find out about the H1N1 vaccine. I can't have it anyway (egg allergy), but I am curious..

Yay for your success with Tysabri!

I had my 30th this month. My MS neuro said I should get the H1N1 shot (but not the mist).

Active Source said they have no info; that's it's up to your dr. The way I read the other post it sounded like it was coming from Biogen-guess not. I was planning on getting the shot and probably will.

I asked about vaccines last year during an appointment with my neuro. He said there isn't any reason not to take the vaccine, it's a killed virus. He said not to take the Flu Mist or any live virus vaccine.

The next day my general physician hammered me with a booster tetanus shot, the flu shot and a pneumonia vaccine. He was waiting for the word from the neuro, got it, and I had an appointment with him the next day, so he gave me all of them at once!

I had no adverse reactions at all except for sore arms!
