http://ms.about.com/od/forfriendsand..._for_msers.htm What are some of the "less-than-thoughtful" gifts you've received over the years?

And:
1. chainsaws - no lie, my MS friend with PPMS and who could not even sit up in bed wanted a chainsaw. Thought frightens me. As a joke (and because he needed on anyway) one Christmas DH gave me a chainsaw. After he finished laughing, he took it away and I've never seen it since. 2. I can't walk, so no skis and 3. no bicycles 4. ladders and roofing. Acceptable gifts: 1. chocolate. 2. down quilts in sit size or bed size 3, a Kindle (I can get books so quick while sitting.

Somebody said what you give shows how you see them . I say don't give them illness related items unless they ASK. People are not a disease and who wants to feel like that's all anyone sees about them? I'd rather get dog toys than a heating pad.

A year's membership to the children's museum where there are tons of loud, obnoxious, yelling, crying, having temper tantrums, whining kids running around. Where you can spend the day chasing your own child around. There are even craft tables with scissors, stamps and lots of little things you need to help your child use to make something you have to carry around for the rest of the day. There is even a child-size grocery store where you have to help them push a child-size grocery cart, shop, run the cash register and parents end up putting all those packages away. And to top it all off you have a membership so your child knows you can go every day, all day. Gee it was one of my favorites!
