Did about 40 min on the Wii, since I don't think it's a good idea for me to drive in that snow today...still built up a sweat.
Good job on finding the stairs, Wiz...just don't overdo it...esp with the training going on...you don't want to tax the body/mind too much...it might bite you back:o |
Wiz lol, that reminds me of when I was in florida for work, the other lady I travelled with was a smoker. We got to the room of ours, it was like on the 9th floor. Realizing it was a non smoking hotel.... our room was not only on 9th but way long hallway length from the entrance and elevator to the entrance. So after hanging a bit she asked if I wanted to go with her outside for the smoke she wanted....
we realized we were real close to the stairs, so thought lets take those down instead of walking the hallway so far down... once down we figured we would sit by pool for while and use elevator main area to come back up!! so here we go, down down down the 9 floors... as we get down to final floor... the door has a BIG red sign on it stating emergency exit only do not open!! but then we realize also, no door to hallway to that first floor... so we hiked up the nine floors back to our room.... no cig for her.. and big workout for us both... that was the wierdest thing though.. as no entrances to any of the floors between 1 and 9..... is that wierd huh!! ok... so back to the main subject now that I typed a very long story... the yoga for yesterday did not work, I was feeling a big dizzy last night, but still thought yoga would feel good and maybe help...nope I could not do much... got a start but the dizzies were not good last night!! today, I think I will get outside for a walk... numb face, cogfog galore, a bit dizzy not bad though... so heading out. Just got back from travelling hour away for one of the kids special dentists... hugsss, sarah |
That is a weird story sabi: You are a better person than I. I wouldve opened that emergency door for sure :)
Wow, looka t all of our active members--moving even though its tough. You put the average american to shame :) I swam a mile in the warm pool tday :) COld out, but water was warm ... I so missed it yesterday. |
That fire escape story reminds me of a totally non exercise related tale.
A well renowned surgeon on a unit where I worked once was answering a resus call and took the fire escape as a short cut, passing a gowned gentleman coming down the stairs. Thinking it odd for a patient to be taking those stairs he continued on to the resuscitation patient only to find it was the exact same man as he'd just passed on the stairs. |
That is a strange story!
I swam a mile today. The pool will be closed sat and sun because we are expecting frigid weather in this part of Florida. Too bad.... |
37 out: Too cold to swim. Warm pool is closed, the cold pool is 73 degrees. So I walked, jogged 4 miles indoors in an hour. I made a loop around the living room and jogged and walked it while watching TV.

Night before last I did about 20 minutes in the workout room at the hotel. I used the recumbant bike, the stairmaster and the treadmill (ran on that while I held on.) That one was my favorite because I could increase the incline and make it harder.
The next three weeks I'm taking my swimsuit because they have a small pool to swim in. :) I only saw others using it once so hopefully that will be the case when I go back. I'll be there three days next week and four days each of the last two weeks of my job training. Today I'm getting the accounting finished for the office and the old company but I hope to do Pilates tomorrow, especially the one for the abs. |
yesterday I had a vertigo spell, so came home from work ASAP well hubby had to pick me up as I could not drive in the vision, dizzy, lost want to close eyes state I was in. Slept 7 hours, then felt somewhat better.... worked today 10 hours... to catch up on some things from yesterday, came home and fell asleep for few hours... stuffy nose, and tired.
hate vertigo, and tired of having those spells... hugssss, sarah hence no exercise today or yesterday. |
Vertigo is the pits sabi. I hope you get relief.
ewiz: You can buy something called "Swim cords". They are like bungee cords. You attach one to the ladder, and other to your ankle. You swim in place. Its great for small pools. I use them when I travel for small hotel pools. Our pool was closed today :freezing outside. So, I walked indoors: four miles, one hour. |
Did my usual 30 min. walk around the track...since I'm not allowed to swim, I ache for it...:(
