information on this site complements and expands the content of Gut Sense and Fiber Menace. Both books evolved from my extensive research in the field of forensic nutrition. Unlike orthodox nutrition, which studies and promotes 'health food,' forensic nutrition studies why people get sick and die from a presumably 'healthy' diet.

Konstantin Monastyrsky

hmmm Part of me wants to hear what he has to say, and part of me instinctivly knows he is selling a book. He assumes some things, and he asserts others, all the while standing back and talking about his "extensive research" He hasnt shown a great deal of how he came to these conclusions (perhaps you have to buy the book to see his research) and while it sounds good to the unabused ear....Im still skeptical.

I am thrilled that folks are looking into gut research as a lot of our immune system is gut dependant. I want to go back and dig deeper in what he says, but also want a word of caution that in the end, this man IS trying to sell books. Is NOT showing back ups for his claims, and is singing the songs that the masses love to hear.

I do want to read more before making my final choice, but for now, I am not buying it.

I'm with Dejibo and Agate and look on this with skeptical eyes, but then I'm naturally skeptical. He could be anybody, selling anything from his basement in Boise. I'd check him out before taking his advice or buying what he's selling, but that's just me.

I take it back. I'm no longer skeptical--the guy's a quack. Read his bio. He got a degree in pharmacy -- from the Ukraine, never naming the school, impossible to verify. Plus, he never practiced in pharmacy, but emmigrated to the US and went into computer programming! Maybe that's true, maybe not, but it hardly qualifies him to write a book making these claims.

Here is a quote from his bio "Through his extensive investigations and research, Mr. Monastyrsky pioneered the fields of forensic nutrition and nutritional intervention—both terms that he coined."

One other thing, he also has books on there making similar claims re infertility and autism!

Just like these miracle pills, or juices that cure all from Acne to Zoo animals, you have to remain on alert for those that will take advantage of the desperate and those delerious with grief. Really sad, but you MUST be your own advocate in these shark infested waters. Too many folks dont care how depleted you are, they just want anther bite.

Speaking of wild cures, I have not seen the mangosteen juice folks in a while, not that mona vie juice salesman. While both awesome products, we can do the same thing with good nutrition, and watching what we eat, without spending $40 a bottle on grape juice.

good for you to really check HIM out before reading what he has to offer. He can be a pig farmer in Turkey, but if he has a good idea or great product, he wont need to hide behind funny names for good eating, or research on intestines. Silly goat.

Dejibo,

Thanks for being a voice of reason.
i have US educated and highly regarded doctors giving me opposing info. I remain my own best advocate, researching and choosing which voices I wish to listen to. One I really like is a doctor who makes no unrealistic claims full of hope for my future to me. He is not a bogey-man either- more of a wait and see what might happen but know what might. A have hope but wait guy.

We need an advocate sometimes, MSers can be sad and desperate for help, making them easy prey.
