i'm so sorry catch.
i'm taking a med called namenda. it's for alzheimer pts. it's helped my memory but i'm not perfect. i think it's a good idea to let your dr know what is going on. there may be something he can suggest to help you. at the least he needs to document this in your chart. if you ever file for disability it will help. i'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. i know how difficult it is. i went thru it.

Thanks for your good wishes. My H said he thought my memory and spaciness got bad when I started baclofen. I quit taking it on Friday.
I had a great relaxing weekend, never thinking about work. I came in this morning feeling well rested, and focused. I found my mind wandering a few times, but felt the day was better. My boss seemed happy. (I figure if he didn't bring it up, I wasn't going to.) I go in for neurpsych testing Friday. I guess I'll know more soon. So far I feel like I was having a hard time due to the baclofen, and I'd rather have the spasms, and a job-for now anyway. I'll check with my neuro about other meds, though. Maybe something else won't hit my head too hard.

Catch - That could very well be. Baclofen and I don't get along for similar reasons. I'd rather enjoy what cognition I have then create issues by taking baclofen.
I really do hope that it was the effects of the meds that were creating these issues for you. What a relief that will be for not only you but your boss as well. ![]() |

My neuro told me the first visit that he wanted me off of both the baclofen and the steroids. Both were frying my brain.
I do remember feeling spacey and kind of foggy on it...I'm on zanaflex for spasms now, and it leaves the body more quickly; I don't feel spacey anymore (although my DH would probably say I'm still a space cadet ![]()
