With the cost of my Avonex and everything else I am in the gap. I called to reoder my Avonex today and she told me that the cost was $2501.02. Since the gap is $4500 I guess I'll be in it all this month and part of next since I have a couple of meds that are tier 2 and 3. Then my meds will be really cheap! Welll except the Avonex. I'll still have to pay $525. for it. But last month I paid $825. for it. If my DH hadn't have retired I would be paying his insurance cheap copay.

It's all according to insurance. Two years ago the copay for my husbands insurance company was $50. Last years insurance that they were switched to (no choice) co pay was $75. I'm just glad we prepared ourselves financially for it. He is retired now and I hope we are all set.

One of the provisions of Obama's health care initiative would close the donut hole...I can't believe that the government got away with passing that piece of garbage...just another way of slipping something by us when we weren't paying attention...it's so unethical...

If Medicare (gov't) is your only insurance, there can be a high cost. Insurance costs vary, but most are reasonable.
I pay a $60 co-pay every 90 for my Copaxone. ~ Faith
