Hi Folks,
![]() I was typing in to get someone, anyones opinion of my 3rd Brain MRI in three years. The Dr. tells me someday, something will just show up different and give us all the answers, but I have been waiting for so long, to find out what is going on with me. I have been "drunk" feeling for four years, fallen, numb, the list goes on and on. Walking is pretty difficult lately, I walk like a gorilla, and hard to keep my balance all the time. My new MRI says this.... Then seen as perventricular white matter disease. Multiple small hyperintensities are seen in these areas. These hyper intensities of probably increased in size and number when compared the previous exam. There is now some evidence that al least some of these have perpendicular orientation compared to the ventricles. Impression- Some evidene for increasing white matter disease. Again these findings could be secondary to small vessel disease, but the findings are also suggestive of a demelinating process such as MS. Again this will need clinical correlation. Well, does anyone think maybe I will get a diagnosis this time, or another excuse why it's not??? I called Dr. she is thinking about the report and figuring out what to do next. Don't know what she is thinking. Anybody? Moon |

I was just going over this same thought process with my MD. I am "in Flare" but my MRI remains the same as last time. He said someday our technology will catch up with our bodies. If we slide someone into an open MRI we may see one or two lesions. if we slide them into a closed MRI we may see 12. If we slide them into the big boy 6 or 7 Telsa, we may see hundreds! Till the day that the technology catches up with what the human body is capable of doing to itself, its a "best guess" scenario in so many cases.
I do hope you can get the answers you seek. Its awful to feel bad, and not have any evidence to back up the questions with some answers. ![]()

and Dej that is why here in my small area towns... the neuros say no I do not have MS since MRI of head is clear ... but I have had a neuropysch that did the memory testing that I did so bad at, a opthamologist that keeps eye on my one eye since it blurs no damage though as yet, a ENT due to vertigo spells that he can not figure out, and a Physical therapist that saw how uneven my weakness levels are on each side and balance issues are... all of those doctors asked HAVE YOU BEEN TESTED FOR MS....
anyhow my point, I feel I have it, but MRI here in small are I think MRI is weaker kind but who knows... sorry hun about your 3rd MRI, hoping you find some answers with it, been a long undx road for me..hoping not so long for you, sarah

i'd hang in there and wait to hear from this dr. give it about a week then call and ask for her info. you might also consider a 2nd opinion. get copies of your mri's so if you do see someone else you'll have the info the new dr will want to see. good luck and keep us posted.
