Default Deflated - now what?

My 3rd neuro opinion says I don't have MS b/c nothing is showing in my MRI's, or bloods, or anything, and it's not a typical MS 'pattern'.
I damn hope he's right! BUT, he doesn't know what it is, and blamed 'stress'.
He wrote a letter to my GP who I saw today, She told me to cheer up, and look forward to life now that MS is ruled out, make plans and think of things to look forward to. Great advice, but I felt really patronised!

I've had sx for 12 months now.
It's not as bad as it was last year (last August seemed to be the 'peak' at which point I couldn't walk faster than a non-agile 102 year old woman with a walker for a few days).
I still have phases lasting 7-10 days of left arm and leg heavyness, nerve pain, left side face pain, twitching are the main ones. Heat intolerance.
It comes on every couple of months.
Now that's not a 'true' MS pattern is it?

My eyes aren't affected, although at times with my arm/leg sx episode experienced eye pain just above my right eye. Only once did it hurt to move my eyes.

It's worse when I'm tired and stressed.
Could it be stress?

I'm doing well these days - new 2 days a week job, new (great!) car and a LOVELY man in my life.

I've resorted to a saliva 'stress' test by my naturopath to test hormone levels including cortisol (stress).

Is anyone else having similar sx and been told it's stress??

I'm getting better at 'living' with it but still get frustrated at times.

Sounds to me, like you need to see a MS specialist at an MS clinic.

Anxiety can caused a lot of symptoms, but I wouldn't buy it either.

So, other than telling you to cheer up, are your Docs doing anything for your anxiety?

Hang in there.

dont you hate when good or great news turns out to be more of a worry, than if they had just given you a diagnosis? I know exactly how you feel. For years, I was told its "anxiety" or "migraines" or "calm down" when I KNEW something was wrong!

there are more than 100 disease that can mimic MS, including the brain lesions. It may be time to see an MS clinic to get to the bottom of some of it. Even with a negative dx on hand, they can help you sort it out.

I do hope you get some answers. its awful to know something is wrong, and not be able to find someone to help you hunt.

"Stress" is the DX doctors give to patients when they have no idea what is wrong with them.

Keep looking for a better informed physician.
