Default Weather Related Flares

OK, so I'm, what those who know call, SPMS, which means I don't have, what these same smarta$$es call, exacerbations. Uh huh.

I am slowly recovering from a UTI flare, of which a crappy weather flare, is taking it's place. Yesterday it was sunny with an 87 temp & the AC running full blast. Tuday it hit a hi of 49 and it's damp/humid.

It's going down to a frosty 30 degrees, tonight. so, I must, once again, turn on the heat. My MS body hates it and is still rebelling.

I have noticed a lot of you having problems, lately and wonder if we are all in the throws of Mother Nature's revenge?

I wonder, if God had it to do over again, if He would still think this planet, safe for humans....or maybe he planned it this way to pay for our sins?

I'm really okie dokie....Just complaining out loud and hoping you all will feel better soon.

I think my current flare is stress related (please, tell my houseguests to hurry up and find a house of their own!) but there could be some weather related stuff bugging me too.

It's been cold this week. Which, I'm actually really enjoying, but I think the cold is making me so sore and making some spasticity issues bigger issues than they should be.

The steroids are driving me nuts now. I just hope this crap is over soon. Ugh!

I prefer cold weather, but what gets to me the most are these abrupt changes..From sunny & hot (anything over 70 feels hot to me), to cloudy & rainy, to sleet & snow, all within a few days. My body's confused, it doesn't like it, and it's letting me know.

The weather affects me big time, too, Sally. Especially when the barometric pressure goes haywire. I can always tell when a storm is approaching or when drastic temperature changes are in the forecast. If nothing else.....at least I'm my own alert system for approaching bad weather!

Crazy weather. Wait 5 minutes and its changes. "Global warming "my buttski.

One day A/C on, the next heat on. We need some level temps. I got overheated and now my legs are cramping from the cold. I think my internal thermostat is broken.

Polar, Erin, Sally and everyone else who is hurting, I hope you all feel better soon.

I have the air on... it was 37 degrees last night, and I kept the a/c on. (set at 75 tho) My dad has said that I'm the Gatekeeper of the thermostat. At least I dont get too extreme with temperatures. I probably wont try to set the thermostat to 66 until late May or early June.

It's hot upstairs (there's 5 people living up there right now, normally there's only two) But they're all crazy people who think that 80 degrees is cold! Five people generate a LOT of heat. (and they keep insisting on cooking in the oven and making it hotter up there!) The houseguests keep putting on sweaters and stuff, making me think that maybe they're cold. (Hmmm...I wonder if I turn down the a/c?)

It's about 75 in my bedroom right now down here in the bat cave (basement) and I still think it's too warm. But, I did just do 3 days of IVSM and am on a prednisone taper. (cant wait to be done with that!)

I'm melting. I dont normally sit around with hardly any clothes on, but with being so warm and then all the funky sensations from the MS, I'm getting in touch with my nudist side. Clothing is driving me nuts with the weird MS sensations. Making me want to scream!

Everyone thinks that I dont want to go out because I'm tired and wiped out...that's part of it, but the other part is that I cant stand to wear any clothing right now.

I would love to go sit outside in the dark in a swimsuit with the wind blowing. Instead I'm here in a t-shirt with a ceiling fan with the lights dimmed just enough that I can see to knit.

At least with all the sitting around that I'm doing, I'm getting to do a lot of research on updating the lighting in my bedroom (getting rid of any lights that generate heat. I want LED's!)

I did get to do some sitting outside today. It was nice and cool and windy and felt really good to have wind blowing on numb, burning toes! Walking on the cement barefoot wasnt so fun, but the cool air felt great!

I'm just waiting for my allergies to kick in at the end of the month, and then I'll have allergy-related MS symptoms. yay.

Sally, I definitely hear what you're saying. My symptoms are all over the place with these extreme ups and downs. Hoping my furnance survives the on/off switching I've been doing this spring.

Hmmm...now that you stated this, I have had tremendous pain from spasms the past several days...since it cooled off!! It was the same thing all winter; cold brought the same thing on then.
So you're probably right, in my case...stupid weather!! Stupid MS!!
