Default Another one denied by SSDI

Well thank you very much SSA...I got my letter of denial. Based on their findings, they feel I can go back and work as a retail bookstore clerk.
Funny, I can't seem to even stand in the check-out line at the grocery store for more than five minutes without having to sit down from the leg spasms.

Maybe if I get some illegal MJ I can work too!! I love my government!!

So sorry you were denied. It's such a long, tiring and draining experience.

Deb, sorry! It seems like they routinely turn most people down the first time. I just saw an article that said the number of applications is way up due to the poor economy and people losing their jobs.

I'm sorry Debbie. What a system we have. My late SIL filed a few months before her death when she had terminal lung cancer and she was denied. Of course she never received any benefits because she didn't live long enough to appeal.

I hope you'll appeal the decision and have Dr. Wynn help by providing additional information.

I'm sorry I went through all appeals and finally got it with the judge hearing.

I have a 23 year old nephew that has a terrible back. His physician says that if he doesn't do something radical he will be in a wh/ch by the time he is 30. So he is on a lot of pain medicine. He is thinking of applying. I can just see his denial, a 23 year old guy on pain meds with back pain wants SSD.

The article I read also said that the SS people were 2 years behind in reviewing applications!!

I don't know what people who need this help are supposed to do without any income.

I think that the interim pay should come from unemployment Compensation until they approve Dissability.

Good luck, Debbie.

It ain't right.

I know a young man who was completely paralyzed in a car accident. His parents applied for him since he couldn't do it himself.

The SSA denied him. Their response said they found that he could have some sort of gainful employment. They stated that some of the jobs listed for his ability were available--carnival barker and radio announcer.

If it was my kid I would have been in jail right after receiving that letter. Unfortunately, the person who signed the letter would no longer have been with us.

They won on appeal. Even the ALJ who reviewed the case stated that the SSA shouldn't be surprised at what happens when they send out letters like that one.
