Amantadine for MS fatigue

I was on Amantadine for a few years. One at breakfast, second at lunch. It did work very well for me, just made me less fatigued. Now I am on Provigil, 100 mg at breakfast, another at lunch. It works much better. Insurance does not like to pay for the Provigil, that is why your Doctor started you on the Amantadine. If it isn't enough it is much easier to get the Provigil approved.

That makes a lot of sense. And we are all different. What works for one may not work for someone else. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

I take 100 mg. every morning (Dr. did not Rx twice a day). I like it.

AMN, I've been blaming those vivid dreams on LDN -- hadn't thought about the Amantadine.

Default So far, so good!
I am SOOO happy right now....with the fact that since my Lyrica has been upped to 150 mg at night, I am sleeping UNINTERUPPTED for 6 to 8 hours. And the Amantadine twice a day is really working for me pretty well as far as I can tell. I was afraid it would keep me up at night....but not the case.

I can't believe this. I am sleeping better now than I can ever remember sleeping, so I hope, hope, hope it continues!
