Default anyone else's hands go numb when they do dishes?

AAAARRRRGGGGH!! My dishwasher stopped using water for some reason mid cycle so it baked everything onto the load of dishes ; including the dish detergent. I had to soak all of them for half an hour before i could scrub it off.

I don't mind doing dishes, I don't enjoy it, but it has to be done. Problem is... after about 20 minutes in the hot water both of my hands are numb.

Ever feel like you have this mountain to climb but the rope is only long enough to reach the bottom of the hill?

And I have an 8 hour trip tomorrow to go pick up DH2B's DD. By myself... to North Carolina and back. I can only imagine what I will be posting on Sunday!
