Thank you for all your support. I did NOT take my shot yesterday, and I didnt pull one out of the fridge for today. I am taking at least one full month off. If things get better, I will keep walking away from it. if things stay the same, or I start having issues, maybe somone would be able to talk me into it, but for now, I simply dont want to, and I deserve a break. 3 years is coming up soon for this med, and I am exhausted by it.

So, I am going bareback thru the world of MS. This outta raise a few eyebrows, but for now, I dont care.

No matter what you do, it'll raise some eyebrows somewhere. What'd Rick Nelson say as he went to a garden party? "You can't please everyone, so you better please yourself."

Don't worry about raised eyebrows. Your own health and well-being is more important. With all the side effects you've been having, it seems to be the most logical thing to do. Then if those disappear or calm down, you know it was the right thing to do. There are alternative treatments, so maybe then you can have that conversation with your neuro. We're here for you kid, don't worry.

Awesome Dej! Welcome to the club I guess?

Glad to hear you've made this decision for you. Does it feel like a huge weight off your shoulders? If so, probably is the right decision for you!

I hope you face good days to come!

it isnt a huge weight off just yet. i am so tired, so spent, and feel horrible. As the days click by, and I start to regain who and what I am, i am sure the relief will come.

I am glad not to have to worry about it anymore tho. I am really tired of poking myself.

I'm with you, Deb. I've been reading this, but haven't posted yet. I think you have made a careful, educated decision. See how you feel in a month. I agree with the notion that you can't waste these years having a med rob you of your life when it's effectiveness is not guaranteed.

DEJ- After reading your symptoms I PRESCRIBE:

Estriol 6-8mg/day for skin, mood, thought and MS progression (8mg you're at month 6 pregnancy)
LDN 3-5mg/day since it seems to work wonders on people here
Testosterone either topical (very very very expensive) or Cypionate injection 1/10th of a mL (20mg) every 10 days. Yes one tenth. My mind's speed went back 10 years on 100mg which is alot for me/men.

Estriol is 35$
LDN is $35
Testosterone inj is 100$ for 10 mL's you do the math.

If you have cancer, forget about the Testosterone and Estriol (so they say).
Progesterone I believe should be taken with Estriol and possibly protects the brain as it does in TBI.

I just started the estriol. Testosterone since 2006. Ty since Nov 2009.
Drink **** loads of water. Keep your urine/internals happy.

AND - Get your testosterone, progesterone, estriol, red blood count checked. Thats my shot at it.

I think you have made the right decision. I could not have made it this long. It is your body and your business only what you decide to put into it.

Good luck and feel better soon!!!!!

With all those problems from Cop, why hasn't your doctor urged you to stop before?

So many times we have to make the call regardless of what others say.

I hope you get major relief now. I had a reaction to Cop and will never be able to take it again. You are not alone.

I used Rebif with no negative reactions but it felt like a waste of my money more than anything else. I just did not think the positives outweighed the negatives.

Your list of problems is very long! I hope you post updates on what has gone away and what remains. Maybe most of your sx's are from the C rather than from MS. Wouldn't that be nice.

It is so difficult to know what is MS and what is something else. Add side effects of DMD's. It is quite a cocktail for the body.
