Default Bad dreams...Again.

I'm still having bad dreams, where someone is verbally attacking me, accusing me and pretty much, convincing everyone that the vicious lies are true.

I wake up depressed, sick to my stomach and, of course, not at all rested. Where is all this self distruction and hate coming from?

It's possibly my meds causing the vivid dreams, but why so hateful? I am afraid to stop my LDN or my Prozac. Maybe I should see a Psych or Councelor?

I'm a happy person and I want to stay that way, but it's hard, with all the bad dream stuff.

Any suggestions?

is it the same someone everytime? someone you know? Maybe a representation of a relationship problem? I dunno.

Maybe you haven't goten far enough into the dream where you reach out and B-slap this person.

My little granddtr, age 6, would tell you to say your prayers! She claims when she says hers, that she doesn't experience bad dreams.

When I started taking 3mg of Melatonin before bed my dreams got less disturbing. That said, I would investigate everything you are taking and see if any of them mention dreams.

I am prone to "bad dreams". I've found lots of triggers: certain meds (provigil), caffeine too late in the day, disturbing television shows near bedtime, worries about specific things, etc. Full moon? Some say.

It's tempting for people to say "it's just a dream", but a bad one can really mess you up for a couple of days.

Hope you can get a handle on it!

Did you know you can change your dreams? The trick is to notice that you are dreaming, then redirect it. Become a stage manager, and tell yourself to get brave! dont let that person talk to you like that. You can change the weather in your dreams, and even the colors of the wallpaper. it takes some practice but well worth it.

Many meds give vivid dreams. Zanaflex is one that takes me on a wild ride. I hope you find out what the trigger is and stop it. Sleep is important.

Sal, I'd consider talking with the prescribing Dr.(s) first before going down Psych Avenue.

Rule out the medical stuff before rooting around in your subconcious and getting a bill for that too.

I get some real corkers in dreamland that border on night terrors and I know it's the doggone meds combined with my Dx that brings these on.

Hope you get it smoothed out...lack of sleep is a real, ummm, itch.

After I wrote this but before I posted it, I all over myself. . What a mess! Yuck! I couldn't stop long enough to get a bucket. TMI, I know.

Anyway after cleaning myself up and changed into clean jammies, I posted this and turned off the pc and went to bed.

It must have been something I ate for lunch, then a little later took my nap, had the bad dream and woke up sick. Could the bad dream have caused the sickness or did the bad food cause the bad dream?

I'm much better now...no fever or flu or nuttin. I took nice catnaps all night long and other than a little sore throat and heartburn, felt rested.....and no more bad dreams.

Thanks everyone for all your good advice and I shall be using all of your tricks, to see if I can put a damper on theses things. A medium once told me, yearrrrrs ago that I am my own worse enemy. I believe it..LOL

I'm hoping it was the just the crappy sickness giving you the bad dreams, Sal .

I don't know if the LDN could do this after you've been on it so long. I wouldn't think so.

Sending some good dreams to ya!

could have been a fever dream. Those can be pretty hairy. I am glad you feel better.
