Hey ya'all and huggs to those who aren't feeling well ATM.
Dealing with fatigue as my major downfall since the "prognosis" I didn't think I could do anything beyond anything. Still not working, but I feel great. Yesterday I got my MT.Bike back out, polished it, put it on the stand then adjusted everything.... Man it felt good to be out in the shed tinkering with it again, because I've been so depressed and ****** off for a long while. Well I feel great, because after getting the bike all adjusted, I put on my shorts then hopped on it for the first time in a year. After a short hop down the road and back I got these crazy thoughts.... My parents are at camp and I thought about riding my bike there ![]() I rode my MT.Bike 30 miles yesterday to visit my mom and dad at camp, but when I wheeled in they were like "You're crazy!" I was like "I know! but I'm tired of not doing anything" So with a fresh, cold cup of water and a tuna sandwhich, mom says "You're not riding back" I'm like .. "no ****, because my *** is sore as frig!" lol My sister came and got me to take me back, but wooo it was fun...so great to be on that road with my bike after so much time passed and all the BS.... I had a moment and yes....it was emotional lol.. Today my *** is kicked and I am soothing a sore butt-cheek.... I may have to put on a softer seat... I'm thinking of getting a Hybrid bike though..one that has thinner wheels than the MT.Bike, but wide enough for "some" off road. I think I'll be doing more road riding than off road...soooo. Anyways.... I had fun yesterday and I'm in a great mood!. Take care everyone ![]() |

Excellent! Yahoo!
Sometimes we overdo it, but ahhh it feels great to do things a bit daring. I'm glad you had a good time and enjoyed your ride. It must have felt great with the sun on your face and hopefully the wind at your back. ![]() Yeah, we all pay but it's so much fun. ![]()

Eric, you rock!!!
I haven't been on my bike for 2 years, but have been thinking about it. Guess its time to dust it off and take it for a ride. We live right by some great mountain biking trails. Wish you lived closer!

Good for you!! I tend to overdo it when I get to feeling better. And that's OK. I intend to keep on doing that for as long as I can!

ERIC, DUDE!
This is an awesome post! You made me feel great just reading it. I can so relate to what you are talking about the "feelings" that result. First is the wild thinking, then the buzz of rebellion to what you are told and "expected" to do, then the actual going out and doing it with a "to heck with the consequences later." Man! What a feeling! My philosophy of life is, "don't even tell me I can't do something." I will do what I desire until or unless my body tells me otherwise. Scr*w common sense. I love your drive, motivation, and rebellious attitude. YOU have taken control of yourself, refusing to be defined by others. GO FOR IT! I often determine my actions based on this bit of wisdom. "Guilt weighs ounces, but regret weighs tons." Best of luck to you and everything you are going to do!

Cool Eric! You don't need a softer seat, just get some good bike shorts. If you don't like the tight lycra, they make baggy mountain bike shorts with a padded chamois in them. The hardest part of riding longer distances is getting your butt, shoulders, and hands used to being on the bike that long. Keep spinning and keep pushing those boundaries.
