Default OT now I've seen everything

We were at our Friday evening haunt, Fazoli's, and I hear this motor thing next to me. This guy had his electric shaver out and was giving himself a shave right there at the table. When he was done, he packed everything up and he and his lady friend left. I made sure I told the person cleaning the table off to clean it and the bench seats real well. Now I have seen everything!

Gross!

One year I took my second graders on a field trip to the Performing Arts Center for the Disneyland Band concert and one of the moms put on a full face of make-up on during the show. I'm talking blush, powder, eyeshadow, mascara, the works! Not gross but weird!

What bothers me more is when women do this whilst driving!

Default Aussie "whilst"

You must be an Aussie, saying "whilst". I have a dear correspondent in Oz who has porphyria like me. Her son's getting married next Saturday and boy is this a heavy time for her, as no one in the family understands her illness.

We have been talking a lot on the porphyria chats about those of us with porph who have the brain scars. We are a minority but we are quite alike.

I'm a Brit. Many of our sayings are similar. However, our accents are quite different.
