YOu know if you just took all the gluten out of your diet, all your sx would go away!

oh wait, we forgot the all important one from my mom's psycic. I don't have MS my dead grandmother says to eat sweet potatoes, asparagus and eggplant and it will clear right up!

Yes, I was at a party when I was bombarded with best friend's family; You should try bee sting therapy, fish oil, light candles... oh, and back to the religion thing... I have so many people praying for me it's ridiculous.

Yeah, my best friend asked me that, before I educated her.

Default plenty of negatives but here's one of nicest things someone said

"i hope you are feeling as good as you look."

made my day.

Jeez, we're Montel's kids!!

My religious SIL said to my friend SIL "I've organized a prayer group, we're going to pray for Kicker. What's wrong with her?" (I was in the first shock of DX, not telling details to most. She was just being a nosy b&%$#@).
"God knows" My friend SIL said.

I love that one. As I also have Crohn's, I have had every diet in the book recommended. I am constantly "losing" foods when I determine they are causing inflammation, but everyone seems to know what I should and can eat! Nutritionists just scratch their heads when I list all the foods I can no longer tolerate . . .

Don't you love those who say "you'll get better" or "hope they can fix it?" Like there is a surgery or pill or length of time you have to endure and then one day you will wake up and feel all better . . .

Oh, these stupid comments really P me off!

My favorite was when I was out of town on a business trip and we had to do quite a bit of walking. It was a hot day and you would've thought that my two supervisors (who know I have MS) were trying to speed walk to see who could make it the fastest. When I finally dared to say that I couldn't keep up, could they please slow down, I was told that I was just out of shape and needed to walk more.

When I got over my shock and was done running through all the expletives I wanted to say in my head, I replied that no, I'm not out of shape, you know I have MS and am heat intolerant!

Here is one for ya. After a complete mental meltdown today (because I am in severe pain and the heat is not helping and the pain meds make me phychotic) I was in a "my life has no purpose and I feel useless" mood. DH2B tells me I need something for me, something that I enjoy doing... then he tells me we can afford for me to go back to school. I realize he was trying to be helpful, but I am not working because I cannot make it through the day between the pain and the fatigue and the general craziness. I have giant holes in my brain that do not allow me to remember something to told me an hour ago. So even if I somehow make it through school and pass these classes, what the heck is the point if I know I will not be able to use this degree we just paid for??

Ugh, some days people just don't quite get it. I know he was trying to be helpful, and I appreciate his offer. But it just made me even more crazy because I know that I cannot concentrate long enough to take one or two classes.
