Default plenty of negatives but here's one of nicest things someone said

"i hope you are feeling as good as you look."

made my day.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do. Eleanor Roosevelt

Jeez, we're Montel's kids!!

My religious SIL said to my friend SIL "I've organized a prayer group, we're going to pray for Kicker. What's wrong with her?" (I was in the first shock of DX, not telling details to most. She was just being a nosy b&%$#@).
"God knows" My friend SIL said.

What cracks me up are the folks who think it's some kind of competition. Who's got the worst condition or symptoms. They ask how you are only as a lead-in for them to inform you of how bad their arthritis, bad hip, skin condition, asthma, gout, etc. is ........

I'm not trying to "outdo" anyone for this prize! I've gotten to where I just say "I'm fine" and won't go into any specifics when others ask how I'm doing. It's a lose-lose situation with some folks.

Oh no kidding, Kel...I am learning that I need to button my lip when someone asks me how I'm feeling...those who really want to know will look me in the eye when I say "fine" and say, "No, really...how are you doing?"
The others are just being polite, or are begging for you to ask how they are doing...my FIL is the best at this... I've learned not to ask him how he's doing, cause he'll replay the same old same old...I don't like going to his pitty party anymore...
