I've had so many blood draws, IVs and infusions, that my veins have become scarred and they roll, making finding a vein very difficult. The RN who gave me my IV SM this week mentioned thinking about having a port inserted.
She said they put it just under the skin below the collarbone on either side, making an entry for all necessary blood work, etc. Does anyone have a port? What kinds of problems go along with one? Do you recommend a port? Thanks!
