Hi all,
Over the last several days, several joints have been jerking. For instance, my left shoulder suddenly jerks my arm forward like a Rock em Sock em Robot. And my left index finger and ring finger jerk occasionally. Now my right quad is doing it. Is this MS? Or do I have to start worrying about something else causing this? ![]()

I get this sometimes but it's usually either my arms or legs while I'm sleeping. I've always assumed it was MS-related somehow. I've just never researched it very well before. I hope someone else can give us some insight to what might be causing this.

i originally had tremors in my hands. now that's turned into jerks.
i think it's a neurological thing related to MS. imho.

Every night it's like my legs all of a sudden get nerve conduction test cranked to 10. I get twitches in my inner bicep, sometimes finger, 5 second spasms in my legs & stomach during the day ect. Movement/exercise cuts them way down but return soon after I stop.

I do have restless leg syndrome, but this is different. Reminds me of Parkinson's videos I've seen which is freaking me out. I'm tempted, with all the carp that's been going on the last few weeks, to ask for another IVSM...I don't really like it, but it does settle things down quickly.

hi debbie,
don't try to diagnose yourself. i think if you're that worried and feel that this is something new that's lasted for more than a few days, you should see your dr. keep us posted.

hey there! I wanted to respond to your jerking post as I strongly think this is MS related. I was diagnosed last year and am 22 yrs old. I experience the jerking in a few different fingers along with my legs and arms as well. I say this is MS related as I didn't ever experience this before I was diagnosed.
Also, I hear that you are fighting for us in Illinois for Safe Access. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!! ![]() Sincerely, Ana D |
