Default Nightsweats! anyone else get um?

I had them the whole time I was on copaxone, and really thought it was going to be the culprit. I have been off my meds for a couple of months now, and last night the night sweats were back! I woke up drenched!

anyone else have these? its awful!

Yes.......and I believe it's menopause related. I've been getting the heatwaves during the day, too. They're worse at night (or seem to be) because lying on a mattress or any other surface seems to trap the heat....plus makes you sweat. It's a pain but hopefully it won't last too long.

How old are you? I'm 49....50 in December.....so this seems right on time.

Yep! I am 53 -- have been having then off and on for years. The last few days I have been experiencing cold chills and then hot flashes. My mom still gets night sweats and she is 82!

I've noticed that, this time of year, the temp goes down at night and the A/C goes off. It wakes me up and I have to throw off my bankie.

I went thru the change at 40. so haven't had those type hot flashes for a long time.

I occasionally wake up drenched in sweat, like I've got a fever from the flu. I keep a thermometer handy to check, and I'm always ok.

It doesn't happen very often at all, they happened more so on Copaxone that's for certain!

Add another one to the list. For a year it was night sweats.. Now it is hot flashes, but not like illness - just hot. Mostly at night, but sometimes in day. I've had sweet on my face with air on high. I just turn on the overhead fan and I cool off . It's better now with the hot flashes then it was waking up soaked.

Ummm just how old are you? Perimenopause can come pretty early and night sweats are on the list.

I did a surgical menopause over 15 years ago. I am way past those type of NS. I found that almost the week I started copaxone the NS fairy came and bonked me on the head. its been horrible some nights, and others I am cool and dry. weird!
