When I'm on steroids, Ayna, I often request a Rx for sleeping pills, as it's not unusual for me to sleep only 20 minutes at night, without them.

Sometimes, I can sleep OK, so I try without, and only take one if I need it.

Won't help with the overdrive energy during the day, probably, but, our bodies need sleep to recover well from the flare.

That's great Ana. I haven't done orals only IVSM for 3 days and yep - I did grocery shopping, cleaned house, pool, everything! I said hey if I'm awake an hr early why lay in bed! I didn't know about watching K levels so thanks for that Lady. I always try to go easy on salt intake but thanks for that too! I also do triceps & hand gripper as I watch TV in bed to fall asleep & the IVSM had me doing reps o plenty

Ana how much are you taking that's working for you?

Even when I can't sleep while on steroids, I don't ever seem to get that extra burst of energy that many people talk about.

I'm often just exhausted and lethargic from lack of sleep. And, lay around a lot.

Thank you for your responses Eddie and Faith!

Right now they have me on a 16 day Prednisone treatment that was working at first, but I think I messed up big time...

I was feeling great the first few days, but since I have done so much this past week I think I've done more damage to my body than helping recover from my flare. My electrical shocks started on the right side of my brain last night and that started last week and went away. But it's back now and I am again in an extreme amount of pain.

I have, however, cut myself off. No more chores for this week. I am staying in bed and hope that the rest of this prednisone will fix the flare. I am just really hoping that I did not over do it and have to have IV steroids.

I have only had MS for a little over a year now and have already done multiple Prednisone pill therapies and 1 3day IV and 1 5day IV. So I am really praying I don't have to go that route because I hear the IV only works a few times...

uhh MS is such a hemorrhoid in my opinion. . . .

Thanks again everyone!

Be well!
