Of course last week Joyce and her husband were first in leaving and last getting into the pit stop. So it can happen. It sure was neat watching Chira and Mirna going up those 11 floors of bamboo walls. That little woman has a lot of spunk. Of course with all the editing we really don't know how long it took her to get up. It seems like a lot of the challenges are a little lame this time. The fast forword was sitting in the back seat of a stunt car with the stunt driver doing all the work! I remember when Joyce had to cut all her hair off to complete her fast forward in their regular season.

I was sure the Donald was going to fire one of the teams tonight and then have the twio remaining ones plan, organize and implement some event like he has in all the other seasons. But they will all go under his little microscope next week. I think the Renuzit people liked Frank and Nicoles commercial better but thought James and Stephanie actually worked better. Of course like the commercials showed, there was a lot of film that was cut on the editing floor. So we really didn't hear what they really thought of the two teams.

Next week will be interesting for both shows.

As a one-time, long-time Apprentice fan, I've officially lost interest in the show. These contestants are weak, weak...and the format has just become too awkward and ham-handed to bear. And I cannot stand Trump's kids!

I hope this is it for The Apprentice - its time has come and gone.

Although I have never voted for Sanjaya, I have often defended his right to be there. But tonight I think he did himself in. This is the final 7! You have to step up to the plate and put on your best performance like Phil did. And he didn't. I also didn't like Chris's or Blake's. But according to the prediction site, Phil and Cris are on top, Blake is still in there. Sanjaya was on bottom for a while and now Lakisha is there.

I fell sorry for Lakisha. She has a great voice but I don't think American Idol is the place for her to start her journey. I think she will have succuss in the music industry somewhere. And I think I have officially switched my allegiance from Melinda to Jordin. But I would hate for fame and fortune to ruin Jordin.

We shall see tomorrow night!

My take:

Melinda - fabulous voice and versatility...she was unfazed by the country theme, and actually performed a pure country piece (as opposed to an easier, crossover ballad) with style and power.

Jordin - great voice, performed her song with the same depth, honesty and power we saw when she did "I Who Have Nothing" a couple of weeks back.

Phil - surprised us all...he was great, and seems to have found his genre.

Lakeisha - fell short, IMO...her voice isn't up to the competition (Melinda and Jordin) and she lacks versatility.

Blake - creeped me out. I thought he was channeling Boy George last night, which is a bad thing for a guy trying to sing country music. Not his thing; but then, what is? If I want quirky, I'll listen to Beck (who's got a little genius in him). Blake ain't Beck.

Chris - yuck. He has no music in his voice, which is girly (no offense to the girls) and weak. I almost threw the remote at the screen when he tried to sneak in that VA Tech condolence line after Simon had ripped him. Ryan Seacrest addressed that at the beginning of the show, and Chris was trying to win favor - and votes - by making his *own* comment. Phoney.

Sanjaya - no comment necessary. And he'll be back next week.

Ryan said that there was something like 38 million votes cast. From the web site that does a prediction from phone votes only, Sanjaya was in last place. But there have been other weeks that he has been way down at the bottom on that site yet Ryan says he is not in the bottom three. So it has been the text messaging that has kept him in. But last night he was WAY down in the bottom. With 38 million votes cast, I would say that a lot of people have tried the same strategy that Sanjayas fans have done for the past weeks. They phoned and texted till their little fingers cramped. Hopefully now the rest of the contestants can really focus on the rest of the show and not how Sanjaya stays in. I don't know how Chris was in the top three. To me the bottom four, not that four count, was Sanjaya, Lakisha, Chris and Blake.

i think chris go in the top 3 cuz everyone wanted to be sure sanjaya got voted off. voting for the next weakest seemed like the thing to do.

now..let the show begin.

i will say for a 17 yr old...he did good with his last song. that really has to hard.

I have to admit that I am not a reality show lover, but I do watch them occasionally. I watch American Idol every tuesday, mostly because "House" follows.

I find that I am enjoying the show though and kinda getting into it. I'm loving Melinda Dolitles style and voice. She is almost to good for an amature show like this. I also like the young guy, cant remembe his name, but he has heart.

I will try to stay up with it so I can talk with you experts, but my vote is for Melinda and the Guy? I mentioned....for now.

Hope you feel better Doydie...Strep throat is going around. My kids and grands have had it. I sure hope I'm spared....nasty stuff and I still have my tonsils.

See Ya Soon,

Oprah had Simon Cowell and the remaining 6 on her show today. She talked to Lakisha about her long embrace with Sanjaya when Ryan told him it was him to go this week. She gave a lot of insight as to the hug. He told her he didn't know if he could go on and sing his song again. She just held him and told him that he had the strength and to give it his best shot. And he did. I didn't finish the end of his song because I was also watching Crossing Jordan. But apparently he gave his own little twist to the end by saying 'something to talk about - my hair' or something like that. So he did go out with class and with him in control with how he left.

Wow, Eduardo was sure shocked. And to think Alex gave up their immunity idol, with a smug on his face I might add. But I liked it that Jeff said that it would be rehidden and new clues put out. I hope they all have learned their lesson and keep the II to themselves. I liked the immunity challenge. Well I really liked both chalenges. They are more like the challenges from all the other seasons. It's like Survivor again. Yipee!!!!!!!!!

I also agree that the Apprentice isn't as good. I miss Caroline and George, the other guy... also can't stand his kids as part of it. Thought them being outside in tents was too degrading and demeaning... not fun to watch.

I'm glad considering how The Donald mocked Rosie and told her how much her show had sucked, what poor ratings it had had, and the other nasty things he said. He talked about The Apprentice being the best show on tv, all arrogant as he lambasted Rosie. Well maybe karma's coming back to haunt him.

Yep, this Apprentice was boring and not interesting at all to me.

Well one of my reality shows is over. But it was my least favorite this year. Stephanie was hired as The Apprentice. I hope she is ready for her life to be totally controlled now by the Donald. I thought tonights episode seemed scripted. Comments like Surya telling Trump that he heard a young singer named Sanjaya needed a job. Plus I didn't like the whole Hollywood Bowl thing. I think it actually was raining by the end. I hope next year it's back in NY.

I was surprised that tonight was another non-elimination leg on Amazing Race. I'm sure all the teams are glad but it sure is dragging it on and on. I couldn't believe that the all guy team actually asked themselves if it would be OK for them to prostitute themselves out to get some money. But I guess in a way they did. They sold their souls down the river and to the Devil when they let the blondes give them cash for them to Yeild Eric and Daniele again. And then they themselves got in last place. One thing that has been consistent is that those blonds keep on coming in first. I wouldn't be suprised to see them win but I don't want them to win. I don't think there are any teams left I want to see win.
