After I had the neuropsych tests the results were sent to my neuro to go over the results with me. Though reviewing the results with the person who gave you the tests seems ok. He's got to be some type of doctor? or technician trained to interpret the results. Why it should take up to an hour, I'm not sure; maybe they want to make sure you have adequate time to ask questions?

Like Kitty says, bring in a note pad with your questions, and leave room to add answers and jot down any other notes. This is always a good idea, but even better when you are still going through the diagnostic testing!

Don't fret too much (I know you will, but try to relax). The results only show how your mind was working ONE DAY - the day of the testing.

When I had the neuropsych exam, the neuropsychologist who did the test went over the results in great detail after the tests had been analyzed and gave me specific strategies for coping with some of my deficits. Then, she summarized it all in a letter and sent it over to the neuro for follow up with him.

I think this is pretty typical format because the neuropsych is the one who specializes in the cognitive stuff and interpreting the test is really their job.
