Default drained, done, finished, nap time.

Has anyone ever kept going past their limits, even tho you knew it was going to cost you?

I spent this past week with Jack the sick cat, and pushed way past what I was capable of. I have run to vets, slept on floors, cuddled next to a chilly slider door, been on hands and knees to encourage eating and drinking, wiping hienies and so forth. While the DH thinks he was helpful, he was also an additive to the problem and less of a solution. I gave him many errands today to get him out from under foot.

I am beat! my legs are wobbly, my back is so tight you can bounce quarters off of it. I am tipsy, and off balance, and feel tired to my bones. I knew I was going to pay for all my activities this past week, but with the low pressure storm coming to park on top of our state, i am simply wrecked! I am taking some heavy hitter drugs and going to bed!

See you all in a few days. zzzzzz

Feel better soon, Dej. Caring for a sick animal is draining. Probably more so due to the fact we have to guess at most of the problems and hope what we're doing works for them. You've expended an enormous amount of energy on Jack for several months. It was bound to catch up with you. You and Jack both deserve a few uninterrupted days of rest. Tell DH to fend for himself and to be quiet while doing it!

Bet you were like the Tazmanian Devil...now like a wet, used dishrag...you poor dear...
take a load off. you're in good company. My mantra-"I'm going to use it, 'cause I know I'm going to lose it"...

now all you need to do is BE like the cat.

best advice i had from another MS'er. Live life like a cat.

Live for now. Sleep lots. Charm others into doing things for you when needed.
