thats a tricky question. There are more than 100 diseases that can mimic MS. Including brain lesions and abnormal babinsky reflexes. Lyme, Lupus, Vit def. Brain tumors, Sjoghrens, and so forth.
Getting a diagnosis is a wild ride. They take your symptoms, and then start with this list of hundreds. Many can be ruled out by blood tests or other scans. As they start throwing other diseases out of the boat, they are left with a handful that cannot be proven difinitively by tests and then start comparing your symptoms to those most likely from disease A or disease B. Many are given the MS diagnosis based on simple symptoms, while others are kept on limbo island for years and decades while they arm wrestle over what caused the symptoms. the best thing I ever did was go to the MS clinic. they are pros at sorting thru the weeds and finding the flowers. It stinks to be sick and not know why. it stinks to be sick and not have any real answers, or have your medical team treat you like you have a horn growing out of your head and they cant figure out why. I hope you feel better quickly. ![]()
