Default Is this another MS problem???

I have had bad neuralgia pains, mostly in my arms & hands, since Sept. & I've been taking Baclofen for a couple of weeks, along with Gabapentin.

My question is, is nausea & diarrhea an MS symptom?? I'm having this problem on & off, but last night the diarrhea was really bad.

I need some advice, cause I'm missing work quite abit, either from the neuralgia pain & inability to sleep or the diarrhea/nausea.

Thanks all & have a great, pain free day!!

Default It MAY be a symptom of MS medications...

http://www.nationalmssociety.org/sea...start=0&num=20

I was on Gabapentin/Neurontin and I overdosed. I did not have all the side effects hit me at one time.

Too, years ago I read diarrhea is a symptom of MS like constipation is another symptom.

Hopefully, you have just picked up a bug...

Take care.

Hi Jiggered,
Welcome to the NT forums. I'm glad you found us. Hopefully you can find out what is causing all your pain and other problems. We all need to have a name for what ails us so it can be treated properly.

Another thought: Have you asked any questions on the Peripheral Neuropathy forum we have here? They may have similar problems as you do. Or come back here or any of our other forums.

Nice to meet you.
I hope you find answers so you can get to the right type of doctor.

hi,

i can't absolutely answer your Q but you might want to consider calling your pharmacist and asking them if your sx's (symptoms) could be from your meds.

i'd also suggest making an appt with your pcp.

are you new to the meds? if you are you might be able to correlate your sx's to the meds. but, if you've been on the meds awhile and your sx's are just now happening then there might be something else going on.

you can also check with your neuro's office. usually calling your pcp will yield faster results.

keep us posted.
