Cognitive issues for sure.
Even with spasms making walking & standing difficult, if I could think clearly, remember things and speak the words I'm thinking of, I think I'd be able to work again...

I have been having this burning tongue thing lately....it started as a tingling tongue, but now my tongue feels like I have burned it on hot cocoa or something. Is this what you are talking about? I thought maybe this was a side effect of the neurontin I recently started.

I'm freak'n after reading all the problems you's have. I'm so sorry to hear all the MS effects.
I'll go with all the sensory i've lost - all of it. Hands if I can only have 1 area feel again. At this rate, by next summer pleasuring a woman is over ![]() Life will be hard living after that happens. Cheers. |

It could be a side effect of Neurontin though in your case, I'd look it up, or ask your pharmacist.

Being able to drive again, makes me dependant on others, not a very good feeling. Not a symptom, just one of the problems.

If I get a good night's sleep, I wake up and I'm good. If I'm low on the stress meter, the sensation is almost completely gone upon waking at times. If I have stressful days, not enough sleep, or if I stay up late... the worse I'm treating my body, and the longer I remain awake, the worse the sensation gets. Klonopin (Clonazepam) is the only medication that's helped me to dull this ridiculous pain (and it is quite painful in my case). Chewing sweet peppermint gum for me really helps too, and the pain's decreased when I'm eating/drinking. BMS (Burning Mouth Syndrome) isn't overly common in MS, it's also very misunderstood in general, and it more often affects women, especially those going through menopause, or post menopausal. In MS, it can be the result of damage to the brain stem, but it can also be the result of nerve damage in dentistry to put it in another context. A very unusual symptom, but I've talked to others with MS who also share this unwelcome symptom. My neuro actually treats another MS patient with the condition as well.
