Default Optic Neuritis. Argh...

I think I have it again. This time in the right eye. (left eye was the "bad" one for the longest time)

My right eye has kind of hurt for awhile when I move it side to side. Doesnt really hurt now, but it's blurry and when I try to read I get the double image of text below what I'm trying to read.

I think the eye pain started right after I had that annoying pain in and in front of my ear and down the side of my cheek. It moved from there to the eye. I was thinking it wasnt an optic nerve problem, but maybe a mild TN problem, but now I'm wondering if it went from the TN to the optic nerve. (geeze, I really HATE MS)

I had an appointment for LAST monday to go see the eye doctor, but we were having a little blizzard at the time and I didnt want to make my dad drive me in all the ice and snow.

Oh, and I'm back to drunk walking again, not as bad as last month, but it was mostly gone until today. Legs are numb again, and I have spasticity going around my ribcage tonight that's a bit uncomfortable.

Those oral steroids didnt last long. (finished them on Dec 23rd) If I wasnt afraid of screwing up my bones, I'd ask for more. (but now that I think I have ON, I better not take any more oral pred)

Why does MS have to be so annoying. It's something new about every 8weeks!! Someone tell the MS to stop picking on me!

I've been feeling kind of sick for the last couple of days, like a low grade stomach problem. (no puking, but problems in another area) and up until about an hour ago, I thought that was cured, but now I'm starting to feel really sick again. Just dont feel good. Cant wait till monday, calling the neuro AND the eye doctor.

thanks.

I just got up, and the spasticity and numbness around my waist is worse. Vision seems to be ok except for a little fuzziness, but the numbness around my waist...geeze, it feels like I'm wearing underwear made out of numbness. Doesnt seem to go all over the area that underwear would cover (thank goodness for that!), but around the abdomen and waist, it's really bad.

I feel really sick this morning too. Feels like it's all related to that numbness too. Can numbness cause you to feel sick?

This is actually pretty scary. I wobble walked to the bathroom a little bit ago. Feel dizzy too, and it almost feels worse than the drunk walking last month.

Why is it always on a weekend when I'll feel guilty about calling the neuro to ask questions? Now I have to wait till tomorrow morning to call him and complain about things. Hope this stuff doesnt get any worse before then.

Sounds like you might have a virus or something....and that can make your MS sx flare up.

I had ON and it was painful at first. Once the pain went away the vision problems hung around for several weeks. It was like I was looking through saran wrap.

I can feel the spasticity grow on the right side of my abdomen. Feels like the muscles are tightening up on that side...it's not hurting yet tho. I'm actually wondering if it's hormone related. (because of a familiar feeling pain that I get once a month in that spot...) The timing is right...and it's been just under a month since my oral pred taper ended.
