This is so outrageous. No treatment unless improvement is expected???? That is unbelievable but probably quite true how the Gov. spends their/our Medicare/Medicaid bucks. By the time people sue, that person could be so much worse.

Thank for the article B2U. We know the practice is there, but few people argue when they should because they are denied coverage, like with MS. Yet they pay for the expensive drugs??? I don't get that.

Did you know that you can't go to a nursing home on Medicare,even if you have lots of lifetimes days left, unless you are expected to improve? My husband could not go to nursing home in 2009, even though he had many days left. He had to go to hospice. They said I had to pay for hospice, which was a lie; I found out later that hospice is covered under Medicare for six months. But he died just as I was to take him to hospice.
