have you ever had one of your bones hurt? I mean down to the marrow like a toothache! now and again, my left upper arm does this and it usually happens after I hold the phone against my ear for too long. Locked into that position fingers numb and tingly, about an hour after waking it starts. Sometimes it will last ten minutes sometimes 2 hours. OUCHIE!
Anyone else? ![]()

My left arm does sometimes. Right now, it's between the elbow and hand. Sometimes it's between the elbow and my shoulder. I cannot figure out what causes it. Could it be the MS?
I'm sorry you have this issue but you're definitely not alone. ![]()

This was a long session. it was about 3 hours long, and now its all better. Wild! When it happens, I dont want to lift that arm, its like to bring it higher than one certain spot would snap the bone in two. Now I can lift it as high as I want. Strange stuff.

Yours sounds like it comes and goes. Mine comes and stays.
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm glad yours has calmed down. It sort of sounds like a pinched nerve. Pain is not fun.

My right arm does that, if I hold it in one position too long, usually at the PC. I know what causes it, so now, I try to keep changing positions.

I guess I never realize how long my arm has been in that position till its numb, and then its too late. I am able to shift alot while on the PC and dont get the same issues.
Just one of those weird things that makes me...me! ![]()

I get this quite a bit in my left arm from the shoulder to the elbow. The worst pain comes in the middle of the night and sometimes it's still sore in the a.m. I just chalk it up to sleeping on it as I tuck it under my head and getting older.
Maybe getting a headset would help you out, especially if you know it is going to be a long phone call (like calling an insurance company or some government office. ![]() |

I had this badly for some months about 11 years ago, but it has gone away. I don't know why it came or why it went. It may be certain nerves are too numb to feel now. I met a woman in the supermarket yesterday who can't feel her feet at all and her pcp doesn't know why. I told her to check with a neurologist and a hematologist.

Okay, I am getting really perturbed at my left arm. I can barely do anything with it now. It's painful to the touch right on top of my arm at the elbow. There is a little bone that sticks up (it's on my right elbow, too) and it feels like it's bruised but I haven't done anything (to my knowledge) to bruise it. If I try to lift something with my left hand it hurts my arm. I could barely put sheets on my bed yesterday because pulling and tugging with my left arm just irritates it. What could this be? I'm resting it as much as possible and not using it any more than I have to but I'm tired of the pain. Is it arthritis? Bursitis? MS? Ughhh.....I don't want to go to the doctor and spend $85 for him to tell me to rest my arm.
