Sally, I'm sorry you're not well.
I've had more UTIs than I can count, and I think it's good to get to a doctor at the first sign of one, have a urine culture and get hold of the best drug that will work against whatever bacteria are found. It's all too easy for the kidneys to get involved. I don't mean to scare you but I myself don't fool around with UTIs.
