Many brand name medication companies have plans for those that can't afford the meds.
Look up the manufacturer of it and contact them, you might see more info on their website also. also- http://www.needymeds.org/ http://www.insure.com/articles/healt...ree-drugs.html http://www.themedicineprogram.com/

If it isn't on your insurance's formulary sometimes they let an MD make an official appeal and they allow it. Good luck

I take Ritalin now. The Provigil stopped working for me, so we tried Ritalin and it works pretty well most of the time. It is old and cheap and generic, too.

The same company is making a little different formulation called Nuvigil. I noticed that through my insurance it is less expensive than Provigil.
I made the switch when my insurance company decided I didn't need to take Provigil. |

When I had good insurance and only had to pay $10 for a 30 day supply I kept refilling it whether I needed it or not. I saw how much money the insurance was saving me and knew I couldn't afford it without insurance. First time I saw the actual cost of the drug (over $700) I nearly passed out! How ridiculous is that??? Needless to say, if I had not had such good insurance I would not have been able to get it.
