When I saw the Hugo rollators at Costco, I noticed that their floor model was not put together correctly. The wheels were on backwards.
That's why when I got mine, I went to the medical supply store and got one that was already assembled. Stumbled in, tried out several models and finally chose the one I eventually took home. That way the brakes all work great, and my wheels are attached correctly.

@Ladylurk. Maybe Hugo is not a great brand. It works for me and I am sorry you got a lemon.

My rolling walker, Speed Buggy, is a Carex. I bought it on sale at one of the drugstores (Kinney? RiteAid?) and I think I spent $99, but I'm not sure. It works pretty well on dirt and grass (which is basically what we have here).
I have a detachable basket for the front, and also a canvas tote thing, but if I'm using it at a fair or other event where there is a crowd, I want my purse or whatever UNDER me, not behind me. I carry a folding cane in the storage area, just in case. When I know I'm going to be sitting in it for a while, I have a folding thingy that I bring along to use for a foot rest. I looked at one recently that (if I understood it correctly) will only roll when you're squeezing the handles. If I'm right, that's like a lawn mower that shuts off if you take your hands off. Turned out to be WAY too expensive so I didn't investigate further. But I liked the idea, because I don't dare walk as fast as I'd like to because I'm afraid if I twist my ankle or my leg starts to collapse, I won't have the presence of mind to squeeze the brakes and will be trying to support myself with a rolling object. *CRASH*

My Mom had one that helped her tremendously. I wish I could remember the type. The point of me posting on this is to ask you if you have asked your doctor for an order. Medicare paid for everything except $17.00! Her physical therapist picked it out for her
