Default new symptoms

Hi everyone I have peripheral neuropathy and my symptoms for months have gotten worse. They now include more pain fuzzy head spasms in my feet heavy legs which go tight when walking weird nerve feelings in my face like wearing an invisible eye mask lack of sleep concentration level not the same. I went back to doc today again and was told i am still waiting for neuro surgeon referral which i have been waiting two months so far. I am getting so frustrated with it all and have no support

Hello all :-) I have my first MS workup in two weeks. I'm actually 61 years young, but when I turned 40 I developed immunological symptoms that my doctors could not figure out. Then at the age of 54 I became disabled with Menieres Syndrome and now I have severe Acquired Intermittent Nystagmous.

I have all the symptoms but getting a doctor to believe me is going to be difficult. Anyway, here I am. Thank you :-)

Debbie

Welcome hunibuni and love2ride! My late DH used to call me honeybunny sometimes. I haven't thought of that in a long time!

I'm sorry you're having health issues but glad you found us here.
We have fun here in spite of our challenges. Good support and non-judgmental shoulders to cry on.

Hi Brittney! Welcome to NeuroTalk.

It's scary to hear that there's something there that's not supposed to be......but you're on the right path to discovering what it is. Did you have an MRI? Did your doctor read the results to you? Does he have a plan to get to a diagnosis?

It's so hard to wait but it's a process of elimination and it takes a while.

You might. But there are so many conditions that mimic MS.....it will take the Neuro some time and testing to be able to eliminate other conditions.

Some of us are diagnosed in a relatively short time....others have to wait. I had symptoms for years before I finally got an MS diagnosis.

How old are you? Does anyone else in your family have MS?

I can say "just relax" but I know that's not possible. Keep us informed as to how your Neuro visit went. I hope you have a good doctor!
