The only tremor I have is when I'm weak and a put my foot down, my whole leg shakes, but stops when I put full weight on it.

Sally, I have that, too, sometimes. It's so strange. I can be sitting on the couch with the bottom of my foot on the edge of the coffee table and my leg will start to shake. I'll try to make it stop but I can't! The only thing that helps is if I stand up on it. So far, that's the only tremor I've had. Unless you count nystagmus......then I have that, too.

Apparently, nystagmus does count as a tremor. It is a tremor in the eye. Those are annoying too. I don't get them as much any more.

I've had that too. My legs will shake when getting up but once I am up and stabilized, they stop. That's a frustrating one too. Does it take you a while to get up? I know it does me. I get up much slower and have to take my time to get the legs to stabilize. On those days, there is no such thing as getting up and going. Nothing is quick.

It takes me a while to get going, too. Last time I went out to lunch with both boys they were almost out the restaurant door and I was still standing by the table getting my bearings!

Oh yes indeed.. I try not to wait until I have to go potty real bad, 'cause I wouldn't make it.

i don't know the difference between "postural" tremor and "intention tremor". I know that I have some intention tremor. This showed up dramatically recently when I was giving myself injections of Interferon. I was stabbing my hand when I tried to remove the cap on the syringe, then stabbing again when I tried to remove the syringe from the vial. I had to give up, after causing bleeding three times. I think this is an intention tremor. I have strength in my grip--quite a lot! However, when I try to move like described above it does
not work--is this called "fine" tremor, or is it "intention tremor". I call it spasticity but
I could be wholly wrong. Neuros never filled me in in this. I have had episodes when
young where I could not make the pen do writing, but now it's mostly not a big problem,
just a little problem....I tend to write "big" because it's easier.

They're getting a little better. As with anything relating to MS, I'll have a few good days and then a few bad. I went to my new PCP the other day and he said my reflexes are off and that the tremors are due to weakness, probably caused by spasticity. He did order some blood tests to check my thyroid as tremors and weakness can happen with that too. Plus, I recently lost all that weight for no reason. (Well, I think stress had a lot to do with the weight loss.) He wants me to see my neurologist as soon as possible and to discuss it with him at my upcoming appointment. Looks like it may be time to reconsider my position on antispasmodics if the tremors/weakness are due to MS. But, we'll see what he neuro thinks.
