I drink milk from the farm next door. its rare that I add sugar to anything, and I avoid HFCS like the plague. Did you know there is an "acceptable level" of PUSS allowed in commercial milk? ICK!

We have become blind eaters in america. no one really knows anymore where chicken comes from. or where that hamburger started out, or even what vegetable a french fry is made from. I think we need to get back to basics.

Really good article about aspartame and its risks. There are some political references in the article so please....let's not comment on those and just concentrate on the topic which is aspartame.

mercola tends to be a my way or the highway kinda guy, but just because the messenger is loud and aggressive, doesnt mean he doesnt carry some truth in his message.

Now, im not a scientist, or a chemist, and I have not studied the organs of folks who drank this for a lifetime, but I have seen several of my friends and family change after putting this stuff down. Their skin, hair and eyes got brighter, and smoother. Their thirst level dropped, and they said they no longer felt so dehydrated and camelish. They lost the bloated feeling (that would come from any soda i would think) and that they just generally felt better. Now would they have the same effect had they quit sugar soda? dunno. They only drank diet stuff. They switched to water, tea, or other natural style drinks.

I hear there is a blistering amount of sodium in both sugar and sugar free sodas. I am not sure either are a good thing. I have a full sugar soda now and again. NO HFCS I mean a real cane sugar soda about 3 or 4 times a year. I get 8 ounces and normally only drink half of that. I do allow full cane sugar soda in my house for my kids who love it. I wont buy the HFCS stuff tho. They are grown and can make up their own minds, but both say that while here they tend to drink more water because we tend to be a water house. its plentiful, tastes good, and I am always offering it, not soda.

The only thing to drink at my house is water. I have a filter on the tap and keep a big container of filtered water in the fridge. I tell my boys if they want something else they have to buy it themselves. So far, youngest DS has bought one 2 liter Coke (regular not diet) and it lasted till it went flat! He said it was good with his pizza but after that he didn't open it. I think we finally dumped it down the drain.

I feel so much better with just water. It was a hard transition from Coke but I haven't had anything else in years. I'm not sure how a soda would affect me now! :p
