Hi,
Kief is just like hash. It's a more potent medication than mj. You can however smoke more mj and have the same effect. I was going to suggest blending the Turkish Delight with another strain, but it may still not be to your liking. Edibles before bed are a good idea for sleep. If you eat it right before you got to bed, it still wont kick in for an hour or two and should help prolong your sleep. I was just reading an article about traveling with mmj. If your going straight from Arizona with an Arizona card to another legal state, I think you'll be ok. Google "crossing state lines with mmj" or something like that. |

We are back from an amazing vacation to Colorado for the 4th of July holiday.
We visited a dispensary. Actually, just the outer room but we had a long interesting talk with the guy running the shop. I have more to share, maybe tomorrow. I just wanted to bump this up so it is easier to find in the next couple days. |

DH and I spent a wonderful vacation in Colorado. It was nice to get out of the house and visit Denver. We were given a couple days stay in Glenwood Springs.
I could elaborate but I will refrain! ![]() Lots of dispensaries in Denver but we did not take the time to go into any particular business. But in Glenwood Springs, I was told about two dispensaries and we had time to seek one out and try unsuccessfully to go inside the inner door. As of July 1, new rules made it much more strict as to access to MMJ, a camera had been installed to assure no violations. I was not allowed to simply look inside and see the set up of this dispensary. No problem. My benefactor had given me edibles, cookies and a brownie since I could not take my MMJ over state lines from AZ to CO. Plus a stranger gave me the best chocolate/mint candy/cookie. Long story how that came about and I want to protect the innocent by not mentioning details! Back to the dispensary. Green Natural Solutions. http://www.gnsexpectthebest.com/Home_Page.php If you go to this link, you can see inside. DH and I spoke at length to Mo. He was extremely knowledgeable. I will go into a few things I learned in the next few posts as I am able to recall...I just wanted to post GNS so you could see the inside of this dispensary. ![]() |

Glenwood Springs CO conversation with Mo was interesting. It was a Sunday with no one coming in off the street so DH, Mo and I talked for over an hour.
He prefers MJ grown in soil, rather than hydroponics. There are many dispensaries in CO but no "controls" in that what is sold at a dispensary is not necessarily the actual variety, i.e. Trainwreck or Sour Diesel. Cannabis is often cross-breeded accidentally. He has plenty of patients who come to him to verify the variety. He grows and sells, he has a green thumb from the way he talked about the process. He has two regular MS patients, both use Sour Diesel. 90% Sativa/10% Indica. I know that a few NT people have recommended it. I have seen it on the MJ medical chart web pages. It also helps with incontinence. Edibles. He said to try the lollypops, tinctures. Why? Controlling the dosage and time elapse before effect. Made sense in that biologically, the THC will enter the system faster orally than digested and one can decide what amount is enough. Baking. We have cannabutter and DH bought the "wrong" brownie mixture. He actually bought muffin mix. We baked anyway. For the future, when we have enough with which to experiment, Mo said to bake the buds a little then add the butter and simmer. The slight baking will enhance the THC and mean I can ingest less...eating sweets are not exactly a way to control gaining weight. ![]() |

Thanks for the update and review of your first visit to a dispensary. Funny little places aren't they? Too bad they wouldn't let you go into the dispensing room, but they could be shut down if they did.
It sounds like your host was a good guy to talk to. I have found that the dispensary staff are usually just average-type people trying to run a business. That's a good idea about tinctures being a good way to regulate dosage. From the edibles you've tried, have they made you feel different than when you vape? I don't care for the edible feel, but a lot of people prefer it. I was talking to a budtender who ate very stong edibles every night to help with her 'night-terrors' (may have been 'sleep-terrors')? Either way, it sounds awful and she said smoking relieved the problem but didn't last through the entire night, but her edibles did. |

I was talking to my DD and DSIL about this thread, they are concerned about my MS and medicine, and I found out that my SIL smokes marijuana when he can get it. And he wonders why they have no money for the things n life they need. I totally approve of it for medical use but not for recreational use. Just like my Ritalin, he would use it for his own recreational use if I would give it to him. And he also asks for my Lortab when I have some. He likes how it makes him feel

Q: Which is my preference? Vaporizer or edibles?
I cannot say I like either right now. My lungs are not happy with vaping. I thought my lungs would not have a problem but they feel "wet," very similar to when I used to smoke cigarettes but not as bad. However, I was having difficulty drawing a large lungful of breath before vaping and for a while, my lungs actually expanded and felt improved. Various varieties have a different taste but so far, everything seems to taste the same. Then again, I am no expert on wine either! A cheap bottle of wine or an expensive one, I am not a good judge. Edibles. This may be the wrong day to write because I had an overstone last night. I need to NOT listen to DH because he has a tendency to want me to eat more than necessary. I ate a small brownie before dinner to shorten the time between digestion and effect. I should have ingested 1/4 and gone from there. Having an overstone is unpleasant but no longer the end of the world. We went to the movies to see Bad Teacher. As long as I was just sitting, no problem. Problem with an overstone for me? I get stiff as a board, quite the opposite of what I expect. Second overstone with the same stiffness. But I know it will pass so I just deal with it. That is the problem with edibles, not knowing how much to eat from batch to batch. And is the cannabutter made principally with a sativa or indica? That problem may be eliminated once I settle into a particular cannabis and make my own edibles. I am going to try tinctures. I will have to go to the compassion club for one. Or try a lollipop. Other than not liking a particular reaction to a certain variety, I am still happy to be a lab rat of my own making. |
