What do you do to keep busy in the heat, I can't get outside anymore, I usually walk some every morning, I can't do that now, I am so bored, I don't like summer anymore, I need something to keep me busy and cool. Any suggestions?

It's hot here in GA, too. Even first thing in the morning...it's so humid. I read alot. And I have a treadmill in the house so I can exercise without going outside. I've gotten used to not going outside during the summer. Reading and watching TV seem to be the "inside activities" of choice for me!

I joined a gym when I lived in TX. It was so cold in 24 hour fitness that I had to wear sweats into the place until I got warmed up. My parents still live there and go walking at the mall which is nice in the mornings. I used to walk my dog at 4am which was tolerable when I worked since I could shower and go straight to work. Evenings were just too hot tho. Misery. You have my sympathy on that. I moved to CA finally where temps are averaging in the 60's which is more to my liking.

Malls have AC. Movies are AC. Cars are AC. Home is AC. shopping on line in your PJs is fun too. I tend to organize at home if I need a project. start opening dresser drawers and have at it! look under the sink in your bathroom! The sense of satisfaction when you are done is amazing. Think how many expired products are in your medicine cabinet.
listen to music or a book on tape and doze off. Watch a travel channel and dream of far away places. If you must go out, use frozen bandanas wrapped around your wrists and neck. Make sure to stay hydrated. Its hot everywhere! Even NH is on fire. its crazy.

Find a swimming pool or a nice lazy river to float in.

We are doubly blessed here in Houston...we get heat AND humidity! Best way to beat it is to jump in a swimming pool...with 85 degree water...
