I can deal with warm, but once the temp hits 85 and you sprinkle in some humidity, well...you lose me!
I cant think. I cant form a coherent sentence. I cant rationalize. I cant make decisions, or choices. I turn retarded or something. I stand in the street lost, completely unable to figure out if I am supposed to turn left of right. my brain turns to mush! Then there is the physical sx. The weakness, the fatigue and the inability to lift my arms, and stop dragging my feet. Lets not even talk about the fuzzy vision and blindness. Am I alone in this? I was out yesterday to water the garden and I swear, it was like aliens landed and sucked the life force right out of me. I couldnt figure out how to turn on the hose. I couldnt figure out which way back to the faucet to see if it was on, I couldnt figure out which side to water from....I just lost it. Standing in the yard dumbfounded DH came and took the hose and laid it on the ground. led me back to the house, led me to my chair. got me a cold drink. Gave me the TV flipper and watered the garden for me. anyone else lose it in the heat?

Well, you're not really used to such extreme heat. This heat wave is affecting many states that just never gets these hot temps....even during summer. Don't let yourself get the the "point of no return". If you have to be outside in these temps just make sure you return to the A/C before you get so weak that you can't function. I'm glad you don't have this extreme heat very often. We won't see another cool day here in GA until November!

I start getting "lost" at 80 degrees. Cognitive issues seem to be the 1st to go. I get mushy brained and my body follows suit. Lately, my new thing is I can't say more complex words. I just can't say them. So, I have to spell them. I can spell just fine. The hotter it gets, the worse this gets.
When it gets real hot, I drink lots of ice water and use my big ice pack A LOT! It helps cool me down quickly. I also use fans and we have one in every room of the house. Do what you can to stay cool, Dej! ![]() |

I have some of the same problems. Since I'm in Florida, if I want to spend more than five minutes outside, I have to wear my cooling/ice vest and air in front of a fan.
I get really agitated when I get overheated. It's almost like a panic attack. Very scary.

Yup, similar reactions. I feel as though my brain, muscles, and guts have been microwaved.
I think anything over 75 should be optional, and over 85 illegal. ![]()
