Default Why hospitalized?

Hello all,

I have not been feeling well lately and am now wondering why my neuro's office staff always asks, "Have you been hospitalized or had any visits to the ER since we last saw you?" I called my neuro but his is out until the middle of Oct. It really makes me wonder now, "Why do thay ask about being hospitalized?" and "What are the reasons for people with m.s. to be hospitalized beyond normal inpatient reasons such as surgery or broken bones? Thank you for your thoughts an/or expeiences on this.

Eric
