does anyone else "crash" after such emotional days? I was pushed and pushed and pushed to the point of snapping and telling a neighbor off to her husband about the way she was treating me. She kept calling and calling and calling my house and not leaving messages. She was hunting for DH to sweet talk him, and I reached the point that I couldnt safely go outside without confronting her. I couldnt hide in my house due to the constant ringing phone, and I could not leave because DH and DS had both the cars and were away, so I was trapped. The moment she saw DH come home she was redoubling her efforts, so left with little choice. A. hide or B. go confront her, I chose to confront and this has left me wiped out! I slept 12 hours! I feel exhausted this morning and really dragging. I didnt even get up in time to see DS go off to work!

Anyone else do this? how long does it take you to recover?

Yes. Took me two days to recover from the in laws. Usually takes me a day or two to recover from mom visits too even though she is not bad.

She just wants to help. So much that it frustrates me and leaves me exhausted. I love her I really do, I know that she means well, but it is still exhausting.

Definitely, Dej. I go through this cycle weekly in my own home. It sucks the life right out of you and takes me at least a day to recover.

I hope this confrontation ends the insanity with your neighbor, .

Pumkin!!! you slept 12 hours????!!!! you never sleep 12 hours... and yes, emotional confrontations tend to wipe me out for a day or 2... hope you get some peace and quiet and can refresh and renew yourself.

Confrontations of any kind are energy sucking and with MS, they are downright debilitating.

I get wiped out when anything emotional happens or I push myself too hard (which I do quite a bit). Did your husband do anything to help offset the situation? Hope that's not too personal of a question for me to ask. Hope you are feeling better too!

Any kind of conflict drains me. While it's going on I feel strength leaving me and I go all weak. If the conflict is bad enough, I have to lie down for quite a while, and it may take many days to get my strength back.

I try hard to avoid conflict but sometimes it just can't be done.

Wow! its taken me 2 full days to recover from the neighbor confrontation, the sister calling, and a couple of other things sprinkled in for good measure. I slept 15 hours last night! OMG! I think I needed that.

We are off for a b/d party for MIL I hope this helps me destress.
