Put the date you were first injured/disabled. It's best to get one app in, and when you are (likely) denied, get an attorney right away. Most take a percentage of the "back pay" you will get, once you are finally granted disability. I've seen Binder and Binder a lot, on patient files. And, it is important to distinguish between SSI and SDI... you may want to ask an attorney which is the best way to go, for your specific needs. Take care, Heather
