Several years ago I had my son go with me to see him. He was just out of the Air Force and about 40 lbs overweight. Dr Wynn looked directly at him and spoke about weight and heart disease. DS never wanted to go with me again, lol. He has since lost the weight though.

He is zealous about the subject...the only doc I've ever had who confronts the issue with me. It takes courage for a doc to do this, since we as patients don't want to address it. That's why I respect him so much.

Wiz - I agree with RW. I've seen pictures of you and even with an increase of 25 lbs there is no way you would be overweight. You're such a tiny little thing.

Glad all went well at the neuros appt.

Glad that the neurological stuff was OK.

Sorry to hear about the weight gain, Wiz. However, it sounds like you're still within the range where you should be, so I wouldn't stress. If you want to work at losing it, you can choose to do that. If you don't feel like bothering, it's probably not the end of the world.

MS and the steroid use put 40-45 pounds on me, over 8 or 9 years. And, I was already somewhat overweight.

This past year, I finally decided that, even though meds is not a "fair" way to gain weight, if I want to lose it, "fair" doesn't count; I'd just have to lose it the same way everyone does -- through hard work.

So, I lost 62 pounds in the last year. Am down to under 120 pounds, where I feel pretty good. (I'm 5'3", and a small build, so that's about where I should be. Still weigh almost 20 pounds more than I did when I got married, but, I don't imagine I'll ever get back down to there.)
