I quit taking gabapentin because it didnt do anything for me, made my feet swell up, and it made me feel like I was about to lose my mind.

I would get kind of grumpy. (ok, more than grumpy) And since the stuff didnt seem to work, I'd take a little bit more, which would make my mood worse. I'd rather be uncomfortable and have control of my emotions. Altho, right now I'm about to lose my mind from being really uncomfortable right now. (really really numb today and feeling it getting worse as the day goes by)

Really wish there was a drug that would help the weird sensations, but in my experience, there arent any that work on me. Except maybe prednisone (because it reduces inflammation), but I'm really not wanting to go that route yet. Mostly because it makes me feel just as crazy as the gabapentin does.
